Chris Getz is the real deal.

Just finishing up watching the sox dismantle the o’s tonight and could not be happier with the play of our starting second baseman. I spent many a spring training night sleepless, wondering what the sox were going to do to find that “spark” guy who could provide solid d at second and be the guy who gets the club going at the bat, but now I am sleeping like a 10 year who was given 2 shots of Nyquil by his drunk mother. Getz goes 3 for 4, scored 3 runs, drove in 2 others and created some havoc on the basepaths tonight to solidify his spot on the top of the order. Thank god we sox fans do not have to continue to watch the trainwreck that is Brian Anderson. I never thought I would see someone with a longer swing than Joe (two weeks til on the DL with a bad back) Crede, but somehow B.A. has seem to make Crede look like David Eckstein.

As for the rest of the guys tonight, Danks had another solid outing and it was good to see some run support for him. Thome staves off the nursing home with another long bomb to left center. Josh Fields shows us that even though he has the complete mindset of a 2-hole guy he still has power with his first jack to right center.

All and all it was a good game that keeps the sox at least in tie atop the central. Enjoy the first entry on White Sox get wins on the reg and stay tuned for additional updates and special posts by One Leg Jack.
